LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Kentucky State Rep. Dan Johnson, who was under investigation for alleged sexual molestation, died of a "probable suicide," the Bullitt County coroner said.
Bullitt County Sheriff Donnie Tinnell said Johnson drove onto the bridge over the Salt River on Greenwell Ford Road in Mt. Washington, parked on the north side of it and shot himself in front of his car. His body was found on the bank of the river, just past the bridge.

Беглый просмотр победных песен и плясок на трупе поверженного врага, – а за ночь спели и станцевали очень много, – дает однозначное впечатление: сразу после получения результатов произошло мгновенное переключение темы. Обвинения в sexual misconduct ушли глубоко на второй план, а во многих местах не упоминаются вообще. Весь этот тщательно сконструированный скандал никакого отношения к исторической победе не имеет. Все гораздо глубже и значительнее. В Алабаме, оказывается, произошел референдум по Трампу и по toxic Republican agenda. Закономерная победа сил света – знак того, что Америка отвергла всяких бэннонов и твердо встала на исторически верный путь, ну и так далее. Так и в учебники истории войдет. Отдельные же наиболее выдающиеся республиканцы тем временем реально празднуют свою моральную победу.

Что касается прогнозов на будущее, то неясным остается только один пункт: сколько именно лет осталось до того момента, когда кончатся other people’s money. Наблюдая за real-time результатами алабамских выборов в разных местах, – по мере поступления результатов, – можно вообще лопнуть со смеху. Это даже круче поллов.
UPD: NYT отдает победу Джонсу.
Выводы:
1. Технология работает. Можно предсказывать появление обвинительниц с недоказуемыми претензиями из далекого прошлого на каждого второго кандидата. А то и на трех кандидатов из четырех.
2. На поллы можно внимания больше не обращать, разве что в порядке развлечения.
3. Республиканцы всё.

President Trump attacked Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) in a sexually suggestive tweet Tuesday morning that implied Gillibrand would do just about anything for money, prompting a swift and immediate backlash.
“Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Charles E.
