Статья на HuffPo про неимоверный абзац, который происходит с обамакеровским сайтом, про всякие детали, тонкости и возможные последствия. Катастрофа, конечно, умопомрачительная.

For Obama and the Democrats who’ve stood behind Obamacare during four years of relentless attacks from Republicans — including a face-off that led to a 16-day government shutdown and a threat of U.S. default — failure of this magnitude would discredit a core premise of this presidency, that government can do big things to improve Americans’ lives.

Думаю, это автор погорячился. Мощь веры в правительство такова, что ее не смогут поколебать никакие правительственные фиаско. Мало их было, что ли, раньше, а что толку? Кто в это верил, так и сейчас верит, и будет верить вовеки.

Ну и кстати про петиции. Когда я эту статью открыл, верхним комментарием был такой: “Cruz and Boehner will have charges against them this week. And that’s all that matters today.”

Такие дела.

A petition on the MoveOn.org website is calling for the Department of Justice to arrest some House Republican leaders for their roles in the government shutdown and debt-ceiling debates.

The petition singles out Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and House majority leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.), as well as “other decision-making House Republican leaders,” for the crime of “seditious conspiracy against the United States of America.”

The petition presently has more than 29,000 signatures with a goal of 30,000.

Даже и не знаю, что красивее – вот это или мнение о республиканцах как о горстке невменяемых, закрывших правительство просто по причине своей невменяемости, расистской ненависти к Обаме и общей кровожадности. Великое дело – либерализм, особенно среди образованной публики, гордящейся широтой своих взглядов.
