Увидел заголовок про то, что в Швеции собираются судить мужика за изнасилование по интернету. Ну, думаю, шведы же, Ассанжа все помнят, вот и очередное достижение. Оказалось, однако, там (allegedly) вполне реальные злодейства происходили.

Bjorn Samstrom, a 41-year-old man from near Uppsala allegedly threatened to kill the girls he met over social networks or post photos of them on pornography sites, unless they performed sexual acts, including bestiality, in front of webcams as he watched.

The 41-year-old man from near Uppsala, Sweden, is charged with “gross rape” and other offences related to 27 victims in Canada, the U.S. and Britain. Among them were one girl each in Ontario and Alberta, both aged 13 when they were victimized in late 2015, said Annika Wennerström, one of the prosecutors involved in the case.

То есть изнасилованием это называть как-то странно, но с другой стороны – а как еще? Это вам не история с Ассанжем, и не здешние университетские знаменитые штучки под знаменем Title IX. Предположение, что это такой специальный вид sexual assault, и что судить за это надо примерно так же, у меня никаких возражений не вызывает.

Антисемитизм из-за Трампа

Сообщают, что ФБР арестовало подозреваемого по делу о звонках с угрозами в еврейские центры. Подозреваемого зовут Хуан Томпсон, он афро-американец, а звонил в эти еврейские центры с тем, чтобы сделать гадость бросившей его подруге. Он по этому делу не главный подозреваемый – ФБР считает, что он вдохновился сообщениями в прессе о предыдущих угрозах. Ему ставят в вину восемь звонков. Остальные звонившие, как и вандалы из Филадельфии, Сен-Луиса и Нью-Йорка остаются пока неизвестными – для ФБР, во всяком случае. Демократы-то точно знают, кто виноват.

Между прочим, в Массачусеттсе произошла большая победа Black Lives Matter на паях с ACLU. Как я тут неоднократно предполагал, конечная цель этого движения состоит в получении афро-американцами иммунитета от закона. Чтобы полиция, значит, не могла их полисить. Эти предположения были в значительной мере подтверждены публикацией требований BLM, а сейчас мы видим и первый серьезный результат: Mass. High Court Says Black Men May Have Legitimate Reason To Flee Police.

“We do not eliminate flight as a factor in the reasonable suspicion analysis whenever a black male is the subject of an investigatory stop. However, in such circumstances, flight is not necessarily probative of a suspect’s state of mind or consciousness of guilt. Rather, the finding that black males in Boston are disproportionately and repeatedly targeted for FIO [Field Interrogation and Observation] encounters suggests a reason for flight totally unrelated to consciousness of guilt. Such an individual, when approached by the police, might just as easily be motivated by the desire to avoid the recurring indignity of being racially profiled as by the desire to hide criminal activity. Given this reality for black males in the city of Boston, a judge should, in appropriate cases, consider the report’s findings in weighing flight as a factor in the reasonable suspicion calculus.”

Насколько я понимаю, с практической точки зрения это обозначает примерно вот что: если полиция имеет к тебе вопросы, а ты внезапно от нее бежишь, полиция решает, что тебе есть что от нее скрывать, и получает легальные основания заинтересоваться тобой более серьезно, вплоть до ареста. Так вот афро-американцам от полиции теперь бегать можно. Потому что если афро-американец от полиции бежит, это он, может, и криминальный элемент, а может, просто не хочет подвергаться расовому профайлингу. А полиции теперь, прежде чем его ловить, надлежит разобраться, есть у нее для погони основания или это она его дискриминировать собралась. Белым, соответственно, бегать от полиции по-прежнему нельзя, потому что у них нет оснований бояться расового профайлинга. Такие дела.

Бостонский начальник полиции, разумеется, решением крайне недоволен. Что поделать, пусть привыкает. Это вам не The Blue Bloods; дальше, возможно, будет еще интереснее.

The Milwaukee riots should be the last time the policies of liberal Democrats are held up as anything other than misery-inducing, divisive, exploitative and racist manipulation of the urban populations. Unfortunately they won’t.

As Sheriff of Milwaukee County, I am furious that the progressive left has put my citizens in harm’s way and that I had to send my officers into cauldrons of anarchy and hatred that were created by the left.

As an elected public servant I am livid that Milwaukee’s pathetic, kowtowing city officials and aldermen take this opportunity to abandon their citizens and preen before the Black Lives Matter-enabling media.

Странный все-таки демократ этот Кларк. Нетипичный, скажем так.

We as a people need to declare that we stand with rule of law, and not with the false tales of the revolutionary Marxist forces, who most recently have rebranded themselves from Occupy Wall Street to Black Lives Matter.
